Training programs

In 2004 JSC NII Stali in collaboration with the Information and Cataloging Center has developed a number of programs to study the combat vehicles layout, maintenance and organizational level repair and fire training.

The programs are made using the state-of-the-art information technologies, feature a comprehensible interface, and allow accomplishment of the following three tasks:

• training of the teaching staff
  
• computer-aided training
  
• self-study of the materiel with self-control opportunity

Computer-aided teaching can be conducted using a multimedia projector with demonstration of the contents on a wide screen or using a PC at each student's place.

The brief description of the programs and demo versions of some of them are given below:

The compendium consists of 3 parts:

Part 1: Training of technical personnel in maintenance and repair of the armament

Part 2: Training of the technical personnel in maintenance and repair of the tank

Part 3: Training of electrical technicians in maintenance and repair of the electric equipment of the tank

The training programs comprise about 2600 text pages, more than 5000 pictures and photos and 12 hours of video.

Each lecture is made as a separate program including the following parts:

• Hypertext
  
• Graphics
  
• Animation
  
• Video and other multimedia elements

The training programs allow to study the following:

• Design of assembly units and their operation principle
  
• Operation procedures of the whole systems and their separate units, components at different operation conditions
  
• Performance check procedures and maintenance problems
  
• Diagnosis algorithm
  
• Repair methods and safety measures, etc.

Training programs collection of BMP-3

The electronic collection is intended for teaching of junior technicians of BMP-3 maintenance and repair.

The collection consists of 3 parts:

Part 1: fire training

Part 2: technical training

Part 3: organizational level repair

Part 1 includes 47 lessons according to subjects of fire training

Part 2 includes 43 lessons for study of BMP-3 general arrangement, engine, running gear, water-jet propeller, electrical equipment, communications, etc

Part 3 includes 26 lessons of engineering and technology basis for repair of armament, engine and other BMP-3 assembly units.

Each lecture made as separate program including the following parts:

• Hypertext

• Animation
  
• Video and other multimedia elements

Developed training programs allow to study:

• Design of assembly units and their operation principle

Posters on layout, repair and servicing of combat vehicles

The posters of general layout, maintenance of combat vehicles, their components and units, their armament are intended for training the personnel dealing with organizational level repair of combat vehicles. The posters are made in Russian and in English. They can be made in any language at the customer's request. The posters sized 1.2x1.8m are printed on up-to-date film materials resistant to weather impacts and transportation.

At the customer's request posters can be made for any type of vehicle. The price is to be agreed.
